Revisiting our Childhood (EPISODE 4): Lose The Heat Trilogy

2026 is here, and the series must continue! this time... it's everyone's favorite Shockwave games, Lose the Heat! starring from 1 to 3!

here's the how first game goes:
"WELCOME TO CRABBY VALLEY"!

At the start, you will be able to choose missions from a bar with problematic people.

Mission 1: "THE TRANSPLATER"
"The mission is given by a woman with a sick child. The insurance won't cover her child's needs anymore and she is looking for someone to steal medicine for her child. You will be chased by 2 vehicles in this mission which not really a hassle though."

Mission 2: "PROBLEMS FROM THE PAST".
"The mission will be given by a guy wearing sunglasses which is a former CIA agent had an illegitimate daughter and he doesn't want his legal wife to find about this so he will ask you to transport her out of the country. The chase will be tougher with 3 vehicles chasing your tail."

Mission 3: "BANK IT"
"The mission is given by the guy wearing office attire which is a bank employee that had been fired after 40 years of hard work in the bank. Now he wants revenge by grabbing the secret slush fund and transports it out of jurisdiction."

Mission 4: "DUMB FOR 60 SECONDS"
The mission came from the two guys who looked like they had been handcuffed together.

"The guys have been tricked into robbing the "Retired Police Wives Society". Now they are wanted and in great danger and they want to get away ASAP. Now the police cars are pretty pesky. They looked like showing up one after another gets destroyed and they tend to crash onto you most of the times. Not to mention that the stage will be raining, don't really affect the game but looked quite good enough."

Mission 5: "MEDITERRANEAN JOB"
"The mission comes from the guy who says he came from a family with influence. He says that his daughter just finished getting stitched up and now the police are hunting for her. He will ask you to keep her safe."

Mission 6: "ON THE RUN"
"After the success of the previous missions, the bar owner will give you the last mission. He will say that you have done a lot of good thing in this neighborhood. But now they've picked up on your trail. He will tell you to clear out and lay low for a while. You will get to the city and drive one last time and yet will be proven very tricky. The police are very persistent on crashing you to the walls forcing to get wrecked."
After you get to your destination, the sheltered wooden bridge will collapse one last time like the previous missions but now, the cam angle will be different showing the collapsed bridge from the side. After the collapse, you will see a number of police cars spinning and jumping down to their destruction. And the final scene will be your car parked on the other side of the bridge looking like saying "I'm here" while watching the police cars falling to the cliff."

As for the sequel:
You have become a driver to help others in their crimes. Now you will need to help yourself escape it back on the road here in Lose the Heat 2. Just like you did last time, your mission is to drive your muscle car and reach the assigned destination marked in the map. You need to get there as fast as possible before the timer runs out. The police will try to stop you again but you now have the 18-wheeler whammy. This skill, when activated, will smash all the police cars chasing you. Try to locate the suitcases too for a chance to unlock a new car. Lose the heat 2 is the second sequel to the Lose the Heat trio. It is a car / police chase game where you need to complete mission while being chased by the police. The police will try to crash you down to fail your mission. They will continue chasing you until you finish the mission or fail the mission by getting your car destroyed or when the time runs out. You can destroy police vehicles along the way by crashing them anywhere the map until they get destroyed. The most effective means is by getting them crashed by different environmental hazards that can be triggered by passing through the orange land mark across the city. Collect money that are scattered for extra 100 points each and get the wrenches for vehicle repair. Remember to get the suitcases found on 2 red colored alleys on every map since they unlock the other car on the car selection menu.

And finally, for the third game:
"And just when you thought that your crazy adventures on the road are over comes a new mission. Get the love of your life with your brand new car here in Lose the Heat 3!"

And that's all, overall this series is an underrated shockwave gem, even though there's one game called Lose the Heat: Retro but, it doesn't hit the same vibe as the last 3 games, eventually, there was an W.I.P project of Lose The Heat remake which you should check out right now!
