A special weekend was held at the SVR to celebrate the last days of the 'Manor' steam locomotives working on the Cambrian Railway Network in November 1965.
By pure coincidence the final three 'Manors' to work on the Cambrian mainline were rescued from the scrapyard & preserved to steam together once again 50 years later.
The weather was typical Cambrian too it was grey blustery with outbreaks of rain!
The SVR was transformed into the Cambrian Railway of late 1965. 50 years after the locomotives were condemned to scrap...
Thank you the SVR for putting on a wonderful celebration.
(My own personal disappointment was the turning of 7802 on Saturday morning without informing anyone and the teak coach set which appeared a few times over the weekend.)
