My South African solo travel adventure began in Johannesburg. Come with me as I tour this vibrant city, in spite of its difficult history is thriving today. A testament to South Africans, a welcoming and resilient people. I spent 4 days in touring Jo'burg.

Jo'burg or Jozie as its also playfully called is a huge metropolis with all the modernity to rival any city around the world. It truly is a world class city. The Africa you would not see unless you go there. Rosebank was my base in Jo'burg and I visited Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton and Melrose Arch. I also went to Nelson Mandela's hometown Soweto and toured Hector Pieterson Memorial. I also saw his presidential office and learned of the appalling treatment of political activists during apartheid at Constitution Hill. I had a taste of the nightlife and the retail therapy her is top notch. I loved my visit to Jo'burg.
