Nanayakkarapathirage Martin Perera, commonly known as Dr. N. M. Perera (Sinhala එන්.එම්.පෙරේරා [en em pe reaira]; 6 June 1904 – 14 August 1979), was one of the leaders of the Sri Lankan Trotskyist Lanka Sama Samaja Party (LSSP). He was the first Trotskyist to become a cabinet minister. He served two terms as Minister of Finance and Leader of the Opposition, as well as one term as the Mayor of Colombo.

අර්ථශාස්ත්රය සහ ආණ්ඩුක්රම විද්යාව පිළිබඳාඅචාර්ය උපාධි 2ක් දිනා එංගලන්තයේ සිට 1933 දී ලංකාවට පැමිණි ආචාර්ය ඇන්.ඇම්. පෙරේරා, නැතහොත් ඇන්.ඇම්. සහෝදරයා දෙවන ලෝක යුද්ධයේ අරමුදල් තර කිරීමට දියත් කළ පොපිමල් ව්යාපාරයට විකල්ප ලෙස සම සමාජය හරහා දියත් කළ සූරියමල් ව්යාපාරය මඟින් මැලේරියා වසංගතයට ගොදුරුව අපමණ දුක් විඳ ගැමි ජනතාවට උපකාරී විය.
හෙළ සිනමාවේ ප්රථම රංගවේදියා වූ මෙම මාක්ස්වාදී චින්චකයාණෝ ප්රකට ක්රීඩකයෙක්ද වූහ. 70 රජයේ මුදල් අමාත්යවරයා වූ එතුමා, සූරාකෑමෙන් උපයන ලැබූ පෙට්ටගම් පොට්ටනි ගැසූ ධනපතියන්ගේ පුස්තක මුදල් සමාජ සංවර්ධනයට යොමු කිරීමේ විප්ලවීය පියවර රැසක් දියත්කරන ලදී.

He came to Ceylon in 1933 from England with two PhDs in Economics and Constitutional Science. Perera, or N.M. As an alternative to the populist campaign launched by the brother to raise funds for World War II, the Sunflower Movement, launched through the Sama Samaja, helped the rural masses suffering immensely from the malaria epidemic.
This Marxist thinker who was the first actor in Hela cinema was also a famous sportsman. 70 As the Minister of Finance, he launched a number of revolutionary measures to divert the book money of the exploited capitalists to social development.
