【ShibayanRecords】 Innocent hearts 「初音ミク(Hatsune Miku)」

RIO: Going back to a time around when Shibayan was just essentially starting out in the Touhou scene, we visit a relic of an album in ‘しゅがー☆ぱーてぃくる！(Sugar☆Particle)’ This was an album released back in 2009, which is solely VOCALOID based, well, Hatsune Miku based if you will! I’m not particularly a fan of this album on the whole, especially since half the album is the first 7 songs repeated again in instrumental (or ‘off vocal’) form. I’m not particularly a big fan of the genres used for most of these tracks either. One track does stand out for me though, that being the very last on the album, touted as the album’s bonus track in ‘Innocent hearts!’ The original album this song featured on is called ‘five entrances,’ which was released a year before this album under the name ‘Tennen-Sozai.’

The song appears to be quite well known, certainly well known enough for it to be inducted into the VOCALOID Hall of Fame no less! This honour is given to VOCALOID videos or songs that have amassed over 100,000 views on the popular Japanese video sharing site NicoNico Douga(ニコニコ動画), which is famed for a lot of VOCALOID content. Shibayan’s song has over 130,000 views as of writing this, so qualifies for that honour easily. This is all new to me however, and all very baffling!

This album is available on iTunes to download digitally. Alternatively if you are looking for a physical copy of the CD, good luck as I doubt you’ll find it easily, especially given it’s age!
