From the moment I stumbled upon the Engl Retro Tube, I felt like it was seriously underrated. I want to give it a tiny spotlight because it deserves to be treated like the beast it is.


In this final video of the series, I shoot it out against a Diezel D-Moll.

I used a 2009 Gibson SG Raw Power in drop C# with a Seymour Duncan Black Winter in the bridge position for this. I switched back and forth using an Egnater SS4 amp switcher which went into my Two Notes Torpedo Live loadbox with a GGD Studio Cali Cab IR.
When boosted, the amps were boosted with a Deadweald Duality DX in green mode (tubescreamer) with gain at 0 and tone and volume just over half way up.
