Pentecost in Cape Town wouldn’t have been the same without the children’s choir. Here, we have former 'Idols SA' finalist Daylin Sass, accompanied by the Cape Town Children’s Choir, performing "Baba Yethu," a groundbreaking piece composed by Christopher Tin.
The song's lyrics are a Swahili translation of the Lord's Prayer, bringing a unique and rich cultural dimension to a timeless Christian hymn. "Baba Yethu" has been celebrated for its authentic representation of African music and its ability to bridge cultural gaps, introducing audiences worldwide to the beauty of the Swahili language and African musical traditions.
