Adal Kuyog ( Dulangan Manobo Dance)

Adal Kuyog is one of the dances of Dulangan Manobo which was performed during burial, wedding for the indigenous people and welcoming of visitors. This traditional dance was performed in the area where the Dulangan Manobo village.
Adal Kuyog is part of the culture of the Dulangan Manobo. This dance is perform during burial and wedding. On the other hand, it is perform also as the opening program of such activities like game competition like “Pagpapa-away ng Kabayo o Sabuteng Kuda sa salitang Dulangan Manobo”. Moreover, the dance indicating that there is an occasion to be happen and it is important to the Dulangan Manobo because it is also like prayer before the program start. Presently, it is still perform by the Dulangan Manobo as part of their daily lives and culture.
This kind of dance composed of either two to three persons (Boy and Girl or two boys with only one girl). Moreover, there is no qualification need in order to perform this dance and it has no age limit as long as he/she knows how to perform or dance Kuyog. The dance is usually performed only by the Dulangan Manobo as one of their cultures wealth.
Adal Kuyog is transmitted through non-formal education. Dulangan elders in many years leads to conserve it true spirit of dance, they orient and taught their siblings to preserve the culture and customs of the Dulangan Manobo tribe.
