Kool FM is London’s longest running Jungle Drum and Bass and multi award winning radio station.

Kool FM first broadcast on 28th November 1991 on the frequency of 94.5FM with its signal powering over the airwaves across London and the surrounding counties. Started by Eastman and Smurf they pioneered the Jungle Drum and Bass sound and played a crucial role in the development of jungle, drum and bass music.

Playing cat and mouse with the DTI they stayed one step ahead and consistently remained on air since 1991.

In 1996 Kool FM launched a Midlands branch showcasing artists from the Midlands and broadcasted on 105.6FM / 92.4FM until 2002.

In August 2010 Kool FM rebranded as Kool London, an internet radio station and remained as the No.1 station. Being internet based they created the infamous Chatroom, with hundreds logged in chatting in real time with the DJs and MCs.

After 31 years, Eastman and Suzy G stepped down, and the station was acquired by Rinse FM in 2023, who branded it back as Kool FM.
