Laurence, thanks very much for joining us this morning at the Accenture office here in Munich

As Global Lead of Transportation and Mobility at the Dassault Systèmes you have been at the IAA Mobility for the entire week, more or less.

So what's your impression?

Hello, Juergen.

Hello, everyone.

So, that is a crazy week.

Frankly, IAA this year is very different.

We can see the dynamic of the automotive sector,
a very strong dynamic.

And what is very interesting, we can see the first SDV software defined vehicles right now, ready to be used by the customers.

I can't agree more.

I think it's really a new era in software defined vehicles, making them fully user centric.

Also, lots of innovation on electric vehicles.

Very positive energy in the room.

And a lot of talk and also importance of collaboration across the ecosystem to really accelerate also on the implementation, in terms of picking up speed, increasing cost efficiency.

So what's critical, what's important for the “how” from your point of view?

On the “how”, SDV experience vehicles, are the combination of hardware development and software development.

So, they need to model and simulate both at the same time in the same environment.

And for that, we bring solution for the 3DEXPERIECE platform on the cloud, in order to go fast.

Cloud is flexibility, scalability, is software as a service solution.

So they can evolve as the technology is evolving.

And we see a trend in the automotive sector with the growth of cloud solutions implementation, a growth of 26%.

So that is a big trend.

To go faster and to to develop SDV vehicles.

Cloud is definitely a very important lever for the transformation and especially if we can combine it with the power of AI, right?

Accessing data, working with the data in a smart way, thinking about generative AI to fully personalize the user experience.

Agentic AI, to increase the efficiency in engineering, by a factor or physical AI in terms of increasing the productivity in manufacturing, for instance.

So what's your view on AI and the power of AI?

So you expand a lot of different domains where AI is a reality is not only a buzzword is really, an enabler for efficiency in manufacturing, customer experience.

For example, I started as a mechanical engineer and frankly, tolerancing was really not the best activity I wanted to do.

And we introduced in the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, the generative tolerancing, in order to reduce the time engineers take for tolerancing.

I would’ve loved to have that at my time. But when I was young.

But now, this is not only that.

It's also for the simulation to change the scale of the timeline, the scale of the time to to get the result of the simulation from week to day, from days to seconds.

But, it's also virtual companions to support engineers and to make them smarter.

For example, taking design rules: they sometimes spend 30% of their time to check design rules to be sure that the vehicle and the design is compliant with the rules of their company.

So we will introduce 3D Virtual Companion.

That is not a vision. That is a reality.

And we can see right now the time and the efficiency we can bring to all these engineers.

To go faster.

Yeah, huge opportunities.

It's all about changing also the fundamental processes behind and also changing the mindset and changing the culture and the way we work together across the ecosystem.
