"At the moment, at the big fashion shows in London, Paris, Milan, and New York, around 60 to 70 percent of the catwalks have actually been using fur. So that normally means in about a year's time, the shops would be full of fur. So I am very optimistic indeed that fur is in fashion, it is being used by designers and consumers want to buy it."

"We have to say the truth that the world economy has slowed down, even China; and Russian market, because of the ruble, the situation of the ruble, the devaluation, (the Russian economy) has also come down. However, the skin price also came down. So it is the best time to buy furs. Actually the skin price has come down to ten-years low. I think it's a golden opportunity for buyers to place the orders this year. So later I think when the economy picks up a little bit, the price will go up again, and business will be good."

26. SOUNDBITE (English) Mark Mak, animal rights campaigner and director of Non-Profit Making Veterinary Services Society:
"This is not quite convincible, because you know I am a guy who work in animals medical industry, I know that when an animal died, after just a few minutes you know they can be getting very very cold, and the fur condition is getting bad. So, to get the best condition of the fur, normally you have to take it out when they are still alive. I don't care whether it is completely alive or half alive or almost dead, but at least it has to be alive. When you take out the coat from the animals, I think the best condition, the best timing is before it died."
