Jury Sees Young Dolph's Autopsy Photos in Gunshot Slaying

Juliette Scantlebury is an assistant medical examiner at the West Tennessee Regional Forensic Center. She earned her medical degree from Harvard University's College of Medicine after graduating from Howard University with a bachelor of science in biology.

She testified in the trial of accused Young Dolph murder plot organizer Hernandez Govan in Shelby County Circuit Court in Memphis today (Wednesday, August 20, day 3). Jurors saw photos of Dolph's body and Scantlebury described his injuries. The photos were not shown on the live stream.

Prosecutors say Govan masterminded Dolph's November 2021 fatal shooting inside Makeda's Cookies Downtown in Memphis as part of a rivalry between Dolph's record label, Paper Route Empire, and rapper Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group.

A separate jury convicted triggerman Justin Johnson last year, and he was sentenced to life in prison plus 35 years.

Young Dolph's legal name was Adolph Robert Thornton Jr.
