In the late 80s and early 90s, the death metal scene that emerged in the Tampa Bay Area, Florida, played a crucial role in the development and refinement of the subgenre. The legendary Scott Burns at Morrisound Recording Studios was instrumental in birthing many of the classic death metal albums that we still listen to today.
