This looks at simulating the part on the machine in Mastercam's Simulator. We walk through the process of importing a fixture for workholding and merging it properly in the graphics window, then place it on a new level. We re-enter the Machine Group Setup and set the Workholding page to recognize the imported fixture. Still inside the Machine Group Setup, we go to the Simulation page and set our Machine to use. Then we select toolpaths and enter the Mastercam Simulator to see the toolpaths in action.
This allows us to see any collisions between the Tool, Stock, Holders, and fixture before sending the code to the machine. Finally, we examine how to post out the toolpaths into G-Code and create the file in Mastercam Code Expert.
