Dave Blunts opened up about his past lean use and ongoing comparisons to the late Big Moe. Despite starting to drink lean at the age of 16, Blunts admitted that its costliness made it an occasional habit until his usage increased significantly later. He acknowledged the dangers of lean, but expressed little concern for himself, noting he has been reducing his intake over time.

Blunts also tackled accusations of mimicking Big Moe's style, particularly following the release of his song "Purple Stuff," a title shared with a Big Moe track from 2002. He dismissed these claims, clarifying that he only learned about Big Moe after gaining traction as an artist. Blunts emphasized that any resemblance, including their similar facial appearances and thematic choices, was coincidental, stressing his respect for Big Moe and asserting his originality.
