What is consciousness? Why is there a hard problem of explaining how consciousness relates to the physical brain? In episode 170 of the Parker's Pensées Podcast, Dr. Keith Frankish argues that consciousness is an illusion, a position known as illusionism. He further argues that the self, or the subject of the illusion could also be an illusion.
