Kirkland's Church
The Kirkland Presbyterian Church, Campbell Town has closed, and is now privately owned. Early Presbyterian services were held in the home of Mr Murray, beginning about 1823, but as the congregation grew, the services had to be moved into the open. From about 1930 services were held in the manse until the church building was completed. The church building, after many delays, was opened in 1936, and was one of the earliest Presbyterian churches in Tasmania. A cemetery is located in the church grounds
