Celebrating Belfast - and our newest members!
As Belfast Branch prepares to celebrate its 80th anniversary, we look back over the years to dances written to honour local people and places. Lucy Mulholland devised Elma McCausland MBE on the occasion of the latter receiving her award for services to SCD. The Glens of Antrim, from our 40th anniversary book, was devised by Betty Smith and dedicated to Miss Nan Shaw, a founder member of the branch. Rainbow's End was published in our 70th anniversary book, and was devised by Peter B.J. Campbell. Our most recent publication, After The Rain, features a rainbow on its cover, and was compiled during the pandemic, looking forward to a brighter future. Some of our newest and youngest members were delighted to be part of the group this year, and had a lot of fun during the filming!
