Imagine living in a place where even hot water freezes in minutes!

I visited Dras, Ladakh - the coldest place in India and second coldest place on earth where people actually live! I went there during the coldest time of year to see how people manage when it gets down to -40°C and when no roads connect them to the rest of India for almost half a year.

On this journey, I saw:
Leh's vibrant winter sports culture
Special houses made to keep the cold out
Ladakh is also known for world's highest altitude farming
Turtuk, the very last village before Pakistan

While the Thar desert in India gets as hot as +50°C, Ladakh gets as cold as -40°C! But Ladakh actually gets less rain than the desert! It is known as India's cold desert.

Watch as I meet families who spend months getting ready for winter, farmers whose hands freeze while working in the fields, and how they manage everything in this extreme weather.

Through videos like this I want to show how people find ways to live in one of the toughest places on Earth.
