Saturday marks the 50th anniversary of New England's hottest day on record.
On Aug. 2, 1975, it hit 104 degrees in Providence and 107 degrees in New Bedford. It became known as "Hot Saturday."
We went back into the archives to show how people were dealing with the heat.
