La Laguna de Huacachina es un gran oasis de aguas sulfurosas ubicado a 5 km de la ciudad de Ica, Perú, en medio del desierto costero del Océano Pacífico. De aguas color verdosas, surgió debido al afloramiento de corrientes subterráneas en la zona. Alrededor de ella hay una abundante vegetación compuesta de palmeras, eucaliptos, y la especie de algarrobo conocida como huarango, la cual sirve para el descanso de las aves voladoras que pasan por la región (Wikipedia).

The Huacachina Lagoon is a large oasis of sulfurous waters located 5 km from the city of Ica, Peru, in the middle of the coastal desert of the Pacific Ocean. Its greenish waters originated from the upwelling of underground springs in the area. The lagoon is surrounded by abundant vegetation, including palm trees, eucalyptus trees, and the carob tree known as huarango, which provides a resting place for birds passing through the region (Wikipedia).
