This was not the video we planned to make. In fact, it was going to be a much smaller job when we rolled the cameras: we were going to replace the weights, the springs, and the belt in this clutch with an upgrade kit from Dynojet.

But then we cracked open this clutch system and saw we were going to need to put in a lot more work. A close inspection of the sheaves and other clutch components showed that something had broken inside the clutch that had scarred up many of the components. So, this went from an upgrade to a rebuild.

We’ll get the pulleys off showing you how to use Can-Am’s clutch pulley holder tool and the clutch puller tool. Then, we’ll rebuild the clutch with new components and add on our new weights from Dynojet.

Once we’re done building it back up, we’ll reinstall the clutch and replace the old belt with the Dynojet belt that came in our kit.
