Located in Samut Songkhram Province, about 70 km west of Bangkok, Maeklong Railway Market (aka Talad Rom Hub) is unlike any other. This bustling market sits right on an active railway line. Vendors sell fresh seafood, fruits, and local goods along the tracks. When a train approaches, they swiftly fold back awnings and move their goods—then resume business as usual once the train passes.

Dating back to 1905, the market began as a hub for fishermen. Today, it’s a vibrant local market and a top tourist attraction, famous for its dramatic train-passing scenes. The spectacle happens several times daily—perfect for photographers and cultural explorers.
