A 12 year old boy was arrested at the weekend after sending racist messages on Instagram to footballer Wilfred Zaha. The player reposted the messages which contained images of the KKK and racist terms on social media saying “woke up to this today”. After some of his followers reported the messages to the police, West Midlands later confirmed the arrest of the 12 year old. But how do children become racist and how do we tackle it?
