Today, 7 November 2025, marks SMRT's 38th Anniversary. The stretch between Toa Payoh to Yio Chu Kang opened on this date in 1987. The first train to run on that stretch was C151 015/016, but sadly didn't manage to film that set on the legacy stretch one last time. EMU 005/006 was one of the first few KHI trains built, and it was the last one standing along with 089/090, 105/106 and 129/130. I was honestly surprised that it was able to last till the end. Our legacy C151 trains will surely be missed by all...
The C151 Trains made their last journey on 26 September 2025. They ran a good 38 years in Singapore!
