Mitchell here! On April 8th, 2024 I had the opportunity to see the Total Solar Eclipse here in Southern Ontario from the comfort of a family member's backyard. So I set up my GoPro to film a little timelapse clip of the experience. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I was glad to experience
Unfortunately due to the cloudcover I didn't really set the camera up pointing high enough to see the sun for the few moments you could actually see it. I also didn't use a solar filter, so this is not the video to watch if you want to see the moon cover the sun. There are dozens of other videos from this and other eclipses that can show that much better. This video really just shows the decsent into and ascent out of darkness during the peak of the eclipse and the movement of the clouds. Enjoy the video!
