Starting your locs on your own | the slow and low way

When we start our locs with back comb and palm roll (longer hair) or under a loc sponge/beanie(shorter than 6”) there is a long road ahead of us on this journey. It’s not a hard road to travel. It’s just laborious at times. And it takes a lot of our focused effort to create the locs we “want to see” on our head.
I know, it’s a long ass, 20 minute video. And if you’re new to the journey or just researching to see if it’s a thing you’re going to do, I’m really just telling you the same thing you’ve probably heard by now, only more in depth of the why and how.
There’s so much more to it than just this 20 minutes of “tools for your tool belt” . Really, a loc journey IS A JOURNEY. There’s emotional stuff, social stuff, and even things like “you as your only motivator and cheerleader” kinda mental health stuff.
This video is mostly about the “action of maturing locs healthily.”
