Essex: Wickford, Northern area around Barn Hall

Emergency appointment again. This time in Wickford so why not explore the town as I don't have a great deal of knowledge as I only kept to main areas as a child (and an adult). After a bit of plotting using Google Maps, I set up into the northern suburbs around an area that used to be known to me as Barn Hall due to a school long since gone.
A path across a field turned out to be nothing more than a boggy mess so that was aborted and another route was found to save me from being stranded knee deep in mud. Mainly housing but of different ages and quite interesting, we end up on the road out to The Hanningfields on which I did a few country bike rides when younger.
