Combining natural science and storytelling is key in climate communication. The transdisciplinary course “A Water Story: From Glaciers to Rivers and Lakes through Storytelling” by Global Awareness Education and the Climate Editorial Team at the University of Tübingen enabled students of all disciplines to get an introduction to this: They learned about the fundamentals of water resource challenges worldwide but also about storytelling communication tools and strategies to inform, educate and influence individuals and communities to tackle water issues. Students then applied gained knowledge to create an audio product related to water using narratives and stories. This video features some of these stories, which were then featured in a radio program for the university radio “Radio Micro Europa”.
Stories by Noelia Estefani Rojas Ortiz, Tabitha Singer, Thorben Grohrock, Gabriel Bretzinger, Xongi Masiya, Hanna Heinzmann and Helen Burkard.
Editing: Levi Schuffert, Leonie Schwarz
