Barrick CEO Mark Bristow says dividend increase 'sustainable'

Mark Bristow, the chief executive of one of the world’s largest gold-mining producers, said the company is in a comfortable position to increase its payout to shareholders. As part of its fourth-quarter earnings report released Wednesday, Barrick Gold Corp. announced it is raising its quarterly dividend 40 per cent to US$0.07 per share, up from US$0.05 per share. Bristow also talks about how the culture of the company has changed since he became CEO, and what shareholders can expect in the years ahead.
