Today I'm walking down Newcomen Street and Snowsfields which is just off Borough High Street in South London.
This is a street of great charity from people like Elizabeth Newcomen and John Marshall. Thats just part of the story. The Kings Arms has a rich history and is where press gangs would ply their trade. Fights were frequent and the pub is known as the 'carbolioc' for good reason. Much blood has been spilt on this street!
The street has the famous Axe and Bottle Courtyard which once contained the famous Axe pub and housed John Marshall and Elizabeth Newcomen.
I move onto Guy's Hospital and film a wonderful mural to celebrate African Women and their great contribution to healthcare in the UK.
I finish at Snowsfields which is where the tenter grounds stood from an industry well known in this area. Then, I move onto to view the historic Guinness Trust buildings and Arthur's Mission.
Once again, the streets talk to you and tell you their stories. There's so many stories here. This is just a start on my journey of discovery!
