Tourist dares death by approaching pack of wild wolves

Sightseers watched in horror as a man got dangerously close to a pack of wolves in Yellowstone National Park, recent footage shows.

Keith Allen Kerbs told Storyful he was photographing the five black wolves in a field near Lamar Valley on October 6 when the man approached the animals. The wolves “acted aggressively towards him,” Kerbs said.

Footage filmed by Kerbs shows the man spraying what he described as bear spray at the wolves.

“He’s in mortal danger,” someone can be heard saying in the video.

In an Instagram post, Kerbs described the man as foolish. “He almost didn’t make it out alive,” he wrote.

The National Park Service (NPS) said there have been no reports of wolves attacking humans in Yellowstone but has still advised visitors not to approach them.
