Two Vulcans behave like fighters, a B1 and B2 perform three rolls and two half-loops, as well as a fast and low pass right over the top of a landing Victor bomber at Farnborough 1958.
You will never again see a display like this; no other aircraft this size is capable of performing these manoevers and modern aviation rules wouldn't allow. Due to a Vulcan crash at Syerston a week later, when an early pre-production prototype disintegrated during a display, such manoevers were effectively banned at airshows.
The aircraft are the B2 prototype XH533 piloted by Jimmy Harrison and a B1 piloted by Tony Blackman (and the AEO was Bob Pogson). According to Blackman's autobiography they were planning a full loop of the bomber with two Vulcans starting the display at opposite ends of the runway (!), however the crash at Syerston stopped these plans.
