Bihar NDA Turmoil: Chirag Paswan's LJP Plays Hardball, Demands Up To 54 Seats From BJP-JDU

Tension is escalating within Bihar's NDA over seat-sharing for the upcoming Assembly elections. Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has hardened its stance, demanding a minimum of 45 to 54 assembly seats from the BJP and JDU. According to LJP sources, the party does not want Rajya Sabha or MLC seats, prioritising a respectable number of assembly seats to reflect what they claim is Chirag Paswan's growing influence in the state. The party has indicated it is prepared for a tie-up with Prashant Kishore's Jan Suraj party if its demands are not met by the NDA. LJP sources stated that in politics, "options are always available." Formal seat-sharing talks between the LJP and BJP's Bihar in-charge, Dharmendra Pradhan, are expected to take place soon.
