In episode 2 of our South American adventure we explore Colombia's backroads, some willingly and some not-so-much; we get caught in the rain while riding up a gnarly dirt road on the Cordillera Oriental and almost lose a pannier after an off in one of the water-crossings, just barely making it out of the mountain before night falls. We then continue east towards Villa de Leyva, through broken pavement, mud and heavy fog, but when we finally get there, we enjoy a wonderful week drying up our drowned (and smelly!) gear, recovering and eating. A lot.
