3 Easy Steps To Replace Your Boat's Propeller

Today I show you how to replace a prop on a mercury Optimax outboard. My specific outboard is a 2007 90HP Optimax. The process should be the same for similar sizes and years. The process is pretty straightforward to do. From start to finish I think it took around 30 minutes to complete. This was my first attempt at a prop swap. It's not hard and you can save yourself some cash if you do the swap yourself. You might need some special tools if this is your 1st time doing the swap. I will link all of the components I used. If you want to do the project right there is an actual prop stop you can buy if you don't like using a scrap piece of wood.
