Hidden Gems in Lake Zurich: Acostas Consignment & Market Day Tour

Today I’m taking you on a road trip to Aostas in Lake Zurich, Illinois, a large consignment and furniture store that’s full of surprises. On this visit, they’re hosting a special Market Day with booths both inside and outside, featuring antiques, handmade goods, and creative finds you don’t see every day.

I start outside with antique vendors showcasing unique plaster molds and rice cake molds from the 1800s. Then I meet an artisan from India who designs beautiful handwoven bags made from plastic wire, crafted by women in her hometown. From there, it’s on to a booth full of freeze-dried candy, fruits, veggies, and even ice cream — including FatBoy ice cream sandwiches and Jolly Ranchers turned into crunchy, foamy treats.

Inside the store, I check out amazing furniture deals, upcycled pieces, and home décor, plus stop by my son and daughter-in-law’s booth, Big Bear Naturals, where they sell all-natural soaps, lotions, and creams.
