Jeep Lexus VW: Battling for the Crown at Barnwell Offroad

Lexus, VW, and Jeeps, the odd couple takes to the dirt offroad at Barnwell Mountain. The Lexus and VW are pushed to their limit in the rocks and drops. A good group of off-roaders learning their limits together. Family camping, and scenic views.
A few took some small damage, but everyone had big fun!

The VW Touareg TDI 4x4 surprised us ALL. It may not be my first choice for an offroad rig, but Drew is hooked and will hit the trails with us again.

Nhat's Lexus 470 was also pushed to its limit, but he held his own in the mountain trails. He left wanting more. I can see lockers, larger tires, and suspension in his future.

as far as camping, the place is ok, not good, not great. At the premium sites there are NO trees, so in the summer its brutal. The park also nickels and dimes you pretty good. I have to say it was one of the most expensive offroad camping trips I have been on. once you add up the camping to the off-roading it was close to $250 for the weekend. BUT I did sign up for the membership, so supposedly i can come back for $15. It was dry while we were there, I personally would totally skip this place if it had rain in the forecast anywhere near my trip.
