September 27, 2024: That shows you how much I don't care for Fairs. I actually forgot that I went to it last Fall. Our Fair rarely gets anything new, but we did get a new coaster last year, so I came back to pick up that missing credit. I did include it on my list, so Tornado at Stricker's Grove was my # 700, but while putting together my vlogs, I forgot that I had gone to the Fair.
The new coaster is named Outlaw, and it is a good family coaster. It cost $6 (4 tickets) for one ride in 2024. If you go to this Fair, plan carefully. They extort guests for the parking, so try to show up early on a school day, so that you can get free neighborhood street parking, but make sure you are within the areas where parking is allowed, as the police and tow trucks have a field day with people who parked improperly. This Fair is an expensive one, and there's nothing really special about it compared to others out there. And it gets extremely crowded, and the ride lines are insane after schools get out. That's because there's no amusement park anywhere near the city, so this is the only chance all year that most locals have to ride rides, other than the waterslides at the waterpark. I got a free parking spot during school hours, and I had won a free admission ticket through my work, which is why I went.
