EX DP Gachagua’s Impeachment Hearing Pushed to December Pending Appeals

The impeachment hearing of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been pushed to December 2025, following ongoing appeals challenging the legality of the bench that was to hear the matter.

The Court of Appeal earlier suspended over 40 related petitions pending the outcome of Gachagua’s appeal, which contests the authority of Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu to empanel a three-judge bench.
