We've had a lot of requests for different tracks to do, as accurately as possible and The Ballad Of John And Yoko was clearly a fan favourite, which we were delighted to have a crack at!
Dad uses his Rickenbacker 4003 bass, through an early 70's Silverface Fender Bassman head, whilst I used the Epiphone Casino, through my 1964 Vox AC30 and my Gibson Hummingbird acoustic. Drums provided by the excellent - and highly underrated - Calumn Perycat. Special note with the maracas: when I bought them these were rumoured to be from a certain north west London studio - from the time of the original recording!
All recorded using only Abbey Road plugins.
