Cyclone Ditwah Nears India & Sri Lanka, Heavy Rainfall Alerts Issued

Cyclone Ditwah has formed off Sri Lanka’s eastern coast, triggering heavy rainfall alerts across Sri Lanka and southern India. The IMD says the storm will approach northern Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and southern Andhra Pradesh by early morning on 30 November. Sri Lanka is expected to face thunderstorms, strong winds up to 80 km/h, and rainfall exceeding 200 mm in some districts as the system moves north-northwest.
