People from the South Asian community are at a higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Dr Bola Owolabi, Director – Health Inequalities at NHS England and NHS Improvement, visits a project in Manchester which is helping to prevent Type 2 Diabetes in the Muslim community. The project trains Imams and other influencers in the community about the signs of Type 2 diabetes and how it can be prevented.
