Little dog vs. the big dogs!!! After all these years driving, I've never tackled VIR North Course, and my first time out I was being stalked by a couple mega horsepower Chevy monsters. They humored me for a couple laps while everything got warmed up, then one by one rocket past me on the front straight. Had a good time leading them for a little while!!
Unfortunately, the engine mounts came loose during this session. The carnage ensued including broken trans mount and finally severed the clutch line, as the engine was bouncing between the inside of the trans tunnel, pinching the clutch line against the sheet metal. Lost the clutch going into turn one and had to jam it in gear to get it back to the pits (if you can't find em, grind em). Had no idea what was wrong until I got it home. Engine out repair fixed in a matter of weeks then back on track!!
