A former HS student is dead and another current High School student from La Habra HS remains hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a sedan Monday night
La Habra Police and LA County FD responded to the area regarding the collision to find two victims down, one of whom was deceased at the scene. The second victim was rushed to a trauma center in critical condition.
The vehicle and bike were both traveling northbound when the sedan rear-ended the electric bike, sending both victims into the windshield. The sedan may have been traveling at a high rate of speed upon impact
The driver remained at the scene and it’s still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. A post from the high school is below.
