Driving from Pırvomay to Asenovgrad, in Bulgaria
"Asenovgrad" is a town in Bulgaria and was renamed after the 13th-century tsar Ivan Asen II. It was previously known as Stanimaka. It is a part of Plovdiv Province. There are lots of shops for wedding dresses and accessories; so it is also known as "City of Bridal Gowns".
"Pırvomay (Parvomay)" means First of May and located in Plovdiv Province as well. Its old name was "Borisovgrad" until 1947; it was named after Bulgaria's last Tsar, Boris. Its Turkish name was "Hacı İlyas (Hadzi Ejles)".
In this video, our journey starts from the center of Pırvomay and finish at Asenovgrad passing by a few villages. The green fields, white clouds and the trees just starting to bloom accompany us during our ride. The storks we see in their nests on the poles also add color to our trip. During our trip, we also see the Rhodope Mountains in the background.
