Hiking Mestachibo Mont Sainte-Anne Québec | Randonnée What to do in Quebec Canada

Mestachibo comes from the Native name of the river, which means “great river” or “having many waterfalls” in Huron.The access to the Mestachibo trail is free of charge and it is used for hiking in summer and snowshoeing in winter. This hiking trail access is from May 15 to November 30.The Mestachibo trail links the Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges church to the Jean-Larose waterfalls which is at the bottom of Mont-Sainte-Anne Resort (13,8 km). It may take between three (3) to five (5) hours depending on how fit you are. You can enjoy a part of the trail virtually through this video.

Mestachibo veut dire « La rivière qui coule » en langue huronne. Si vous êtes fan de randonnée, vous allez apprécier ce beau sentier pédestre qui est à accès gratuit du 15 mai au 30 novembre. Selon votre condition physique, il faut compter de trois (3) à cinq (5) heures pour marcher le sentier section Ouest (aller seulement, c’est à dire de l’église de Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges à la station Mont-Sainte-Anne.) Le sentier Mestachibo Ouest relie l'église de Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges à la chute Jean-Larose au pied du Mont-Sainte-Anne (13,8 km). Cette vidéo vous montre un aperçu du sentier. Bon visionnage!
