About the song: Slave is an original song written by our band leader and bass player Jess Blasingame. We tagged the song Maranatha, made popular by LoveSong, to the end, which makes a nice pairing of music. I would say that this song could be considered one of my favorites. It has an intense, raw, musical appeal and lyric. The urgency of the message is timeless along with the classic music style; equivalent to arena rock.
Selah is a band comprised of students of California Baptist College 1974-1976, directed by the Baptist Student Ministries to provide concerts in local churches to promote the college. Their ministry used music, testimony and drama to convey their message of Jesus Christ; focusing on the Christian life lived in personal relationship with Christ. Their music style is derived from the influence of the Jesus Movement in the 70's. Most of their music is original or covers from music by known or unknown sources.
