इस वीडियो में मैंने लॉर्ड विलियम बेंटिक के बारे में पढ़ाया है । लॉर्ड विलियम बैंटिक का कार्यकाल 1828 से 1835 ईस्वी के मध्य तक था । लॉर्ड विलियम बेंटिक के कार्यकाल को शांति और सुधारों का कार्यकाल माना जाता है क्योंकि उनके कार्यकाल के दौरान सबसे ज्यादा सामाजिक सुधार हुए थे । राजा राममोहन राय के सहयोग से 1829 ईसवी में सती प्रथा का अंत लॉर्ड विलियम बेंटिक के ही कार्यकाल में हुआ था । लॉर्ड विलियम बेंटिक के कार्यकाल का यह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण कार्य माना जाता है क्योंकि उस समय भारत में सबसे ज्यादा सती प्रथा का प्रचलन था और प्रत्येक वर्ष 700 से ज्यादा महिलाओं को सती प्रथा के नाम पर जिंदा जला दिया जाता था।
