The Vasari Corridor Tour is a unique work. It was built as an aerial passage for the Medici family, so that they could move between their residence in Palazzo Pitti to Palazzo Vecchio. Palazzo Vecchio was the political seat of their government and even now it is the town hall of Florence. Along corridor there is also a gallery that shows the largest and most prestigious collection of self-portraits in the world. Inside the Vasari Corridor tour we find the works of the greatest artists of all time who still send their paintings and hope to be exhibited in the prestigious one mile long gallery. The walk along the Vasari Corridor from the Uffizi Gallery to the Pitti Palace is the only one allowed for visitors, who have to be accompanied by their tour guide and by the museum attendants. It is a special visit that must be booked in advance and it is a real amusing experience, expecially when walking over the Ponte Vecchio and being above the persons that are standing on the bridge. We can see the tourists moving on the bridge by the windows of the Vasari Corridor, just in the middle of the Ponte Vecchio. The following incredible experience during this walk is passing throughout the façade of the church Santa Felicita, so that we stand between the square and the main altar of the Church Santa Felicita. Vasari Corridor is a sensational experience, just to be lived!
